MAJOR DUTIES: As a Geographer within the Lower Mississippi Gulf Water Science Center, some of your specific duties will include: Participating in the planning and execution of complex studies and investigations concerning geographic and physical processes. Utilizing remote data collection systems (e.g., satellites, aircraft, field equipment) and manipulates and analyzes data from these and other data sources. Planning, organizing, and implementing limited research, particularly investigations involving the causes and consequences of land surface change. Gathering, organizing, and interpreting a wide variety of geospatial and environmental data. Drafting sections of reports and reconciles comments in response to peer/management reviews.
