Engage Americans of all ages in addressing issues related to water resources through management, stewardship, and restoration activities that may include visual stream assessments, delivering education and outreach programming, public involvement, and many others.
Opportunity description
Up to 2 positions are available. As a recently mandated Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4), the City of Oak Ridge gives CAC AmeriCorps members the unique opportunity to assist in expanding the city's stormwater program under the direction of the Environmental Compliance Manager. This position provides a mix of office, field, classroom, and event work as well as a variety of experiences and opportunities.

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field. Knowledge of programs such as MS Office. Experience collecting data using a handheld GPS device and Arc Collector. Experience in managing volunteer events, public speaking, and educating the public. Ability to navigate uneven terrain, and challenging weather conditions.
Preferred qualifications
Ability to work with little supervision at times. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professionalism. Ability to explain relevant information clearly to a variety of audiences.
