Freedom Solar Power is looking for a Commercial Project Coordinator to join our team! You will play a critical part in the solar installation processes by assisting the Project Manager to ensure a smooth customer experience. You will assist in all aspects of managing a commercial solar project, but your focus will primarily be on the permitting, interconnection, and procurement processes. You will frequently interact with cities, suppliers and utility companies to obtain/submit required applications/documentation needed to start the solar installation and provide detailed updates to the Project Manager.  The right Commercial Project Coordinator candidate for Freedom Solar Power is reliable, has a successful record of meeting deadlines, is organized, can handle high volume customer accounts and is a team player!

Essential Functions and Duties

    • Assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of executing assigned solar projects.
    • Submitting interconnection requests to utilities for solar panels installations, including all necessary communication and follow-ups with utilities.
    • Filing building and electrical permits with appropriate AHJs, including all necessary communication and follow-ups with AHJs to obtain permits in a timely manner.
    • Working with suppliers to ensure equipment is in stock and coordinate shipping.
    • Tracking and submitting payments/receipts to Accounting. 
    • Communicating with the Project Manager regarding details of projects to facilitate clear communication to the Customer and Sales Team.
    • Transferring of documents from CRM to Project Management program at the closing of sale.
    •  Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

    • 1-2 years Project Coordinator experience strongly preferred. 
    • Prior solar/construction experience in a customer service/account capacity highly preferred.
    • Work with a sense of urgency, and be passionate about deadlines.
    • Problem solve and let no obstacle prevent you from completing your tasks.
