Safety is a core value at Coastal Waste & Recycling and this role will be pivotal in ensuring that our employees all go home safely every night.
We are looking for a Safety Manager that is proficient in conducting risk assessments, root cause analysis, and incident investigations. You will be supporting our Central and South Florida locations.
Typical responsibilities might include:
- Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Coaching and training district managers, supervisors, and front line employees on accident/injury prevention.
- Providing training and support to management and behind the wheel instructors to ensure new hire program is effective and performed per company guidelines.
- Coaching and training supervisors to complete thorough and effective safety observations.
- Providing managers and supervisors with the tools and training for company safety programs and initiatives.
- Monitoring completion of corporate related safety tasks.
- Supporting new acquisition integration as it related to EHS function.
- Working directly with operations to ensure adherence to the company’s health and safety programs.
