JOB SUMMARY: This Senior Executive Service (SES) position is in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, Office of Program Support, Information Technology and Resource Management Division. MAJOR DUTIES: Under the management of the Director and Deputy Director, the Office of Program Support (OPS) is responsible for building capacity and advancing the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention’s (OCSPP) mission to protect public health and the environment through innovative financial planning and execution, human capital solutions, international policy and trade, regulatory development and outreach, responsive communications, state and tribal collaboration, and technology and information management infrastructure and tools. Under the OPS Director, the Information Technology and Resources Management Division (ITRMD) is responsible for supporting OPS initiatives and advancing infrastructure that advance OCSPP’s and EPA’s mission and for providing strategic guidance and oversight to the five ITRMD branches. Specific duties for this position may include, but are not limited to: - Providing leadership and direction for the Division's activities, such as: information technology (IT)/management (IM), IT security, budget, program planning, resource management, administrative operations, financial management, and program evaluation/performance measures. - Providing technical support to OCSPP’s Senior Information Officer (SIO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Quality Information Council, and Capital Planning and Investment Control. - Developing and implementing the division's short- and long-range operating policies, priorities, procedures, objectives, and goals including initiatives such as information exchange, information integration, and e-government. - Overseeing the development, assessment, and improvement of management control systems within the Division to ensure they meet the standards of and are consistent with the Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act. - Ensuring that extramural resources (both procurement and assistance) are properly managed to maximize the use of agency resources and that the managers are in compliance with all regulatory and agency policies and procedures.
