Opportunity description
Perform invasive species removal, native plant re-vegetation, and other conservation actions such as irrigation of restoration sites, native seed collection, native plant propagation, wildlife-friendly fence construction, recreational enhancement on public lands, and project site monitoring.

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
Meet AmeriCorps eligibility requirements including: at least 17 years of age at the commencement of service, high school diploma or equivalent degree, U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien, eligible to receive an AmeriCorps Education award, with a limit of four total terms in a lifetime and the equivalent of two full-time terms (3400 hours).
Preferred qualifications
Willingness and ability to work outside in unpredictable weather conditions (including extreme temperatures and rough terrain) work independently or as part of a team. Bend and crouch for long periods of time. Occasionally lift heavy loads or equipment. Use hand and power tools. Operate motor vehicles. Use chemical herbicides in the treatment and control of invasive weeds while following strict application protocols.
