Project summary

OysterCorps is a nationally recognized conservation corps program which restores coastal ecosystems, and strengthens both coastal and community resilience. As a dual environmental restoration and workforce training initiative, the program engages local opportunity youth (young adults, 18-25 years of age who are from underserved/marginalized communities and not on a career path) to complete vital coastal restoration and resilience projects across Northwest Florida.

Opportunity description

As an entry level term to the conservation corps experience, the position will focus on coastal restoration field projects combined with member and community engagement in support of a holistic strategy to 1) restore coastal habitat, 2) employ nature based solutions to strengthen ecosystem resilience, and 3) build capacity within coastal communities to respond to and recover from the impacts of climate change. There are as many as 5 openings for this position.
