MET Group is an integrated European energy company, headquartered in Switzerland, with activities in natural gas and power, focused on multi-commodity wholesale, trading and sales, as well as energy infrastructure and industrial assets.

The Green Assets Divison's goal is to create a significant, transparent, financially sound green assets portfolio (consisting of solar PV and onshore wind power plants), resulting in positive shareholder return with reasonable risk profile via deep understanding of the energy markets. We are dedicated to develop and build a 2000+ MW – geographically and technologically diversified – green portfolio by 2026 in Europe.

Our new colleague will oversee a dedicated solar and wind renewables power plant portfolio located in Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania, Germany, Switzerland and potentially in further European countries. The position will report directly to the Renewables CEO of MET Green Assets, and will have a team of dedicated plant managers. The position is based in Milan, Italy.

Job Description

  • Responsibility for the asset operations and maintenance of MET Group's existing PV and Wind Power Plant portfolio, with the support of third party service providers,
  • Standardising asset operations processes,
  • Establishing and operating the asset operation, reporting system, identifying KPIs for management reporting,
  • Responsibility for the technical/ maintenance/ commercial contracts: on a regular basis revising, tendering, re-negotiating them as required, aligned with the relevant MET business and support functions,
  • Identifying and implementing asset operations and maintenance best practices,
  • Proactively identifying and realising efficiency improvement opportunities,
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the MET Green Assets Business Development, Project Management and Finance teams by sharing insights from the Asset Operations area,
  • The position would require occasional business trips within Europe.

Qualifications

  • College/ university degree in Engineering,
  • 4+ years experience in Wind Asset Operations, experience in PV is an advantage,
  • Solid understanding of the technical and economic aspects of Renewables Power Plants,
  • We are looking for a motivated new colleague who is a team player, has excellent technical and managerial skills, structured and strategic thinking.
  • Good with numbers and Excel,
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills,
  • Has the ability to manage and cooperate a high number of internal and external stakeholders,
  • Fluent English is required,
  • Any additional language knowledge (e.g. Italian, Spanish, German or other European language) is an advantage.
